Therapeutic Hikes

  • Full-Day Immersion

Nature based immersions have been found to have profound effects on mental and physical well-being. Being outside helps us destress, cope with difficult emotions, and enhances self-esteem. Full-day immersions will incorporate traditional therapeutic techniques as well as experiential ones.

  • Half-Day Immersion

Similar to Full-Day Immersions, but shorter. Half-day immersions are less intesne than full-day and are for those short on time, or for those looking to incorporate nature-based therapy more regularly into their schedule.

  • Grief Hikes

There is a growing body of research suggesting that people experiencing a sense of extreme loss show emotional resilience when performing personal “rituals”. Rituals are deliberately controlled gestures meant to ground the mourner and regain a sense of control. Grief Hikes act as rituals that counteract the turbulence following the loss of loved ones, pets, relationships, etc. Grief Hikes create a unique avenue for healing loss through traditional grief counseling, connection with nature, and personalized ceremony.

  • Walk And Talk

Similar to traditional sit and talk therapy, Walk And Talk sessions will be conducted over 55 minutes while moving mindfully along various trails on the Big Island of Hawaii.
